Incorporation of Moonee Valley Cricket Club
President Charlie Walker, in outlining the recommendation from the Committee and moving the required motions, said incorporation as an entity was of vital importance to the cricket club in terms of a firm legal and administrative basis.
He said concerns over provisions in the Moonee Valley Sporting Club constitution also led the Committee members to the decision that having a separate incorporation would be in our best interests.
Charlie stressed that the Committee believed the sporting club structure was the most appropriate way forward and the Committee intended to continue in that relationship.
He pointed out to the meeting that the Bridge Club continues to be an incorporated body while operating within the structure of the sporting club - in the same way that we intend to do.
The meeting appointed Cricket Club Secretary Peter Golding to the role of public officer, to follow through with the lodgment of the statement of purposes and constitution approved by the vote.
