Early notice – our annual general meeting

The Moonee Valley Cricket Club will hold its annual general meeting on Monday, August 26.

It is being held at the Moonee Ponds Club – formerly the North Suburban Sports Club – at 622 Mt Alexander Rd, Moonee Ponds at 7.30pm.

The AGM will be immediately followed by a Special General Meeting, where a recommendation will be put to members to approve a new constitution.

All incorporated organisations have been required to prepare new constitutions as a result of the passing of the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012, which replaced the Associations Incorporation Act 1981.

The new constitution we are recommending to our members is framed closely on the constitution which our Club unanimously adopted when we incorporated in September 2010.

Club Secretary Peter Golding will prepare an AGM agenda and make available information and processes for anyone wishing to nominate for the Committee. Under our constitution, such nominations need to be received at least seven days before the meeting.
